Hello,

Welcome to Arunima Kumar Dance Company , Britain’s largest , award winning institution for Kuchipudi with over 3000 performances in 50 countries and 45+ awards . Thank you for enrolling your daughter for Term at one of our 5 branches in UK . We also operate in Poland and India .

Classes are held as per the following details

  • Saturdays 10 am until 2 pm- Chelsea Theatre , Worlds end
  • Tuesdays 6.15-8.15 pm - Bhavan London ( Hybrid)
  • Wednesdays 530-630 pm - Hounslow Youth Centre ( Bursary Centre)
  • Sundays 5-6 pm - Open
  • Online / in person 1-1 sessions - Kensington
  • Arrival times and signing in : please arrive prplease arrive promptly for your child’s class. Drop off and pick up are at the session entry doors. Our classrooms are located on the Ground Floor. If you have any special needs , please let us know Our teachers will take pupils from the lobby to their classrooms or meet them in the studio . Please note parents may not stay in the lobby or visit the classrooms as per theatre rules . However you are welcome to write to us to attend during any special visits or events like birthdays Absences - please let the school if your child feels unwell - your child can join up to 2 make up sessions in person or online with advance notice . Let us know as soon as possible at kuchipudi.akdc@gmail.com so we have enough time to organise a substitute class.
  • Arrival by car and parking : If you are coming by car, there are payable public parking bays in surrounding streets.
  • Departure and signing out : If pick up is from the time your child’s class finishes and up to 5 minutes after. Your child’s teacher or teaching assistant will bring your child from the classroom to the entrance to meet you or meet you in the studio
  • Fee : Term fee varies by class and centre . Please note no refunds or fee adjustments are possible due to insurances and safeguarding . We only allow breaks during exam time 11+ , GCSE main exams , A levels or medical situations .
  • Special needs or requests : If student has any special needs or requirements or allergies , please let us know at the earliest .
  • What to bring : Children should bring yoga mat , water bottle and a healthy snack to keep them hydrated during their class or classes. Pupils aged 9 to 18 should bring a notebook and a pencil case. Please remember we have a strict NO NUT POLICY.
  • What to wear : Indian Kurta / leggings . For intermediate students AKDC practice Sarees are mandatory except during winter months .
